These are musical and artistic genres that emerged 10 years ago, influenced by music and films from the 80s. Here are key words of the graphic identity of this music style: retro, flashy, offbeat, conceptual, futuristic, geometric.
The goal was to collaborate with Krosia to create a content strategy for the launch of his new album. This global strategy will have to promote his music, his image, his style, his social networks and platforms.
We started by creating a new logo that we will find on every new Krosia’s platforms.
We then move on to the posters. They are the starting point of Krosia’s new identity.
We find elements coming from retrowave, 80s style and more, but redefined and modernized to have original visuals that no other synthwave artists will have.
The posters are made following the album’s name and intention. The issue with the actual identity is that it was more or less the same as plenty of others.
On the homepage, the last Krosia’s albums. Then the presentation page that allows you to have a more details, such as the artist’s intentions, his inspirations, what he wanted to communicate through this album.
The about page allows you to have more information about Krosia : his experience, his style, and also all of his social networks.
Finally, the store page that allows you to buy Krosia’s merch : clothes, mugs, posters, albums, everything fans need. A direct connection with his community and a way to generate income for the artist.
We first find declinations of posts on Instagram, where the majority of our target core is located.
The posts will be divided between announcements of new albums and songs, with the same style of covers; and quirky pics following Synthwave codes, in order to democratize and modernize it in the public’s mind.
Each new launch will logically be accompanied by stories and #campaign to boost interactions and the event’s virality.
A dedicated filter dedicated to the album’s launch will also create virality and excitement among our target.
The album’s launch will also be done through classic promotion such as sponsored posts on Instagram, and same for Youtube that allows targeted promotion. Promotion for the shop / teaser / new single/ and more. We will therefore find event’s teasers on major social networks.
TikTok is now a major platform for developing a young audience.
You can develop and get closer to your community by posting regularly, but also go viral as a music artist.
Indeed we regularly see unknown music blow up on TikTok and create a popularity to the artist that is difficult to create on other platforms.
We can obviously also think of other ways to promote Krosia’s album, with billboard posters dedicated to Spotify with a QR code sending you to Krosia’s channel.
We need something different that stands out, linked to Krosia’s genre and target audience.
Synthwave genre is commonly associated with cyberpunk, a futuristic and mechanical style.
The video game Cyberpunk2077 coming out at the end of 2020 could be a perfect candidate since it includes all the codes of this style, including music. The idea would be to promote the album in-game, through digital posters included in the cities of the game, but also by adding Krosia’s new album songs on the game’s soundtrack, for example when driving vehicles on the radio.
Indeed, in each vehicle on the game, we can choose the radio and therefore the music that we listen to. So we can imagine a dedicated radio to Krosia, allowing players to listen to the music of his new album. The goal is not to force anyone, but to let the players appreciate by themselves.
